Manfred Baumann

Manfred Baumann (born 1956 in Hallein, Salzburg) worked for 35 years as a writer, editor and department head at Österreichischer Rundfunk (ORF). He subsequently worked as a freelance writer, cabaret artist, director and presenter. He is known, among other works, for his crime novels featuring Detective Merana, which served as the basis for three television adaptations by ORF and ZDF. His novel *Drachenjungfrau* was adapted for the ORF series *Landkrimi*.
