Bettina Wilpert

Bettina Wilpert, born in 1989, studied cultural studies, English studies and creative writing in Potsdam, Berlin and Leipzig, including at the German Institute for Literature Leipzig. Her debut novel, *nichts, was uns passiert*, was published in 2018 and received, among other honors, the ZDF aspekte Literature Prize, the sponsorship award associated with the Lessing Prize of the Free State of Saxony, and the Melusine Huss Prize. The novel was adapted for the stage and made into an ARD television film in 2023. Her second novel, *Herumtreiberinnen*, was published in 2022.
