Yannic Han Biao Federer

Born in 1986, Yannic Han Biao Federer studied German and Romance studies in Bonn, Florence, and Oxford, and earned a doctorate at the University of Bonn. His early short stories appeared in literary journals and anthologies. In 2019, he published his debut novel, “Und alles wie aus Pappmaché.” His honors include the Förderpreis of the Wuppertaler Literatur-Biennale (2016), the Rolf-Dieter-Brinkmann scholarship (2017), the Harder Literature Prize and the main prize of the Wuppertaler Literatur-Biennale (both 2018), and the 3sat Prize at the Days of German-Language Literature in Klagenfurt (2019).
