Hami Nguyen

Hami Nguyen was born in Vietnam in 1989 and came to Germany with her mother in 1991. Her father had worked as a contract worker in the former GDR. She studied economics, sociology and political science in Halle (Saale) and Lucerne. Her debut book, »Das Ende der Unsichtbarkeit – Warum wir über anti-asiatischen Rassismus sprechen müssen« (The End of Invisibility – Why We Need to Talk About Anti-Asian Racism), received the Immigration Book Fair’s book prize in 2024. In 2022, Focus included her among the 100 most important women in Germany.
