Franziska zu Reventlow (1871–1918), born Fanny Countess zu Reventlow, was a German writer, translator, and painter. Born in Husum, she came from a Holstein-Mecklenburg aristocratic family. As a young woman, she pursued painting and moved to Munich, where she lived among Bohemian artistic circles. She later focused primarily on writing. Her best-known works include the novels *Ellen Olestjerne*, *Herrn Dames Aufzeichnungen* (*Mr. Dame’s Records*), and *Von Paul zu Pedro*. In *Herrn Dames Aufzeichnungen*, she drew on her experiences of Munich’s artistic milieu.
