Julya Rabinowich

Julya Rabinowich (born in St. Petersburg in 1970) is an Austrian writer and columnist. She studied in Vienna and worked for many years as an interpreter. Her novels include »Spaltkopf« (2008), which received the Rauris Literature Prize, »Herznovelle« (2011), »Die Erdfresserin« (2012), and »Krötenliebe« (2016). Her first young adult novel, »Dazwischen: Ich« (2016), received, among others, the Friedrich Gerstäcker Prize, the Austrian Children’s and Young People’s Book Prize, and the Luchs award. It was followed by »Hinter Glas« (2019), »Dazwischen: Wir« (2022), »Der Geruch von Ruß und Rosen« (2023), and »Mo & Moritz« (2026).
