Jonathan Guggenberger

Jonathan Guggenberger studied fine art, film studies and political science in Berlin. He conducted research, among other places, at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem on aesthetic strategies of political mobilization in social media and on antisemitism on TikTok. As a cultural journalist, he wrote for the German newspapers taz, der Freitag and Tagesspiegel about digital image cultures, memory politics, and antisemitism in art and culture. In 2023, his feature-film debut, the paranoid thriller Rattenkönig, premiered.
