Franz Dobler

Franz Dobler, born in 1959 in Schongau, is a German author. Since 1988, he has published novels, poetry collections, short stories and books on music. His works include the crime novels *Ein Bulle im Zug* and *Ein Schlag ins Gesicht*, both of which received the German Crime Prize. He has also been awarded the Bavarian Literature Promotion Prize. Dobler wrote several books on music, compiled record collections and worked as a music journalist and DJ. His novel *Ein Schlag ins Gesicht* was adapted for German television under the title *Nicht tot zu kriegen*.
