Mirna Funk

Mirna Funk (born 1981 in East Berlin) is an author, journalist, and essayist. She studied philosophy at Humboldt University of Berlin and worked for publications including the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Die Zeit, and Vogue Online. Her literary and essayistic writing repeatedly addresses Jewish life in Germany and questions of feminism. Her debut novel, *Winternähe*, was published in 2015 and received the Uwe Johnson Newcomer Award. It was followed by the novel *Zwischen Du und Ich* (2021) and the nonfiction books *Who Cares! Von der Freiheit, Frau zu sein* (2022) and *Von Juden lernen* (2024).
