Simone Lappert

Simone Lappert, born in Aarau in 1985, is a writer and poet. She studied at the Swiss Literature Institute in Biel. Her debut novel, “Wurfschatten,” was shortlisted for the ZDF-aspekte Prize, and her novel “Der Sprung” was nominated for the Swiss Book Prize. Her poetry has received the Heinz Weder Prize and a work grant from the Basel Literature Committee. She also served as the Swiss curator for the poetry project “Babelsprech.International” and as president of the International Poetry Festival Basel.
