Fritz Hendrick Melle was born in Karl-Marx-Stadt in 1960. Before turning to writing and advertising, he worked as a plant operator, stoker and cemetery worker. He studied theology for four semesters at the Katechetisches Oberseminar in Naumburg and later studied communications in society and economics at Berlin’s Hochschule der Künste. In 1985, he contributed to the anthology “Berührung ist nur eine Randerscheinung.” After working as a copywriter, he published the novel “Richtiges Leben” in 1991 and took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann literary competition in Klagenfurt. He founded the advertising agency Melle-Pufe and served as chief creative officer at dorland/Grey until 2014. His novel “Die Amazone vom Kollwitzplatz” was published in 2014.
