Gideon Botsch

Gideon Botsch (born 1970) is a political scientist. He worked as a research associate at the Moses Mendelssohn Center for European-Jewish Studies in Potsdam and headed its Emil Julius Gumbel Research Center for Antisemitism and Right-Wing Extremism. In 2018, he was appointed adjunct professor at the University of Potsdam. His research has focused on antisemitism, right-wing extremism, racism, Jewish social history, and Nazi rule. He has also worked in historical and civic education and memorial-site education. His publications include “Wahre Demokratie und Volksgemeinschaft” (2017) and the co-edited volume “Rechtsrock” (2019).
