Anna Schapiro

Anna Schapiro was born in Moscow in 1988 and moved to Germany with her parents in 1992. She studied Fine Art in Dresden and Jewish Studies in Stockholm. Work and scholarship residencies took her to, among other places, New York, Warsaw, London and Mexico. Her artistic work has been exhibited internationally. In 2022, Schapiro co-curated the exhibition “Klassenfragen – Kunst und ihre Produktionsbedingungen” at the Berlinische Galerie. She also founded and co-edited the magazine “Jalta – Positionen zur jüdischen Gegenwart.”
