Fatima El-Tayeb (born 1966) is a Black German historian. She has held professorships in literature, ethnic studies, and related fields at the University of California, San Diego, and Yale University. Her scholarship has addressed racism in Europe and the intersections of race, gender, sexuality, and national identity. Her publications include the book »Schwarze Deutsche. Der Diskurs um ›Rasse‹ und nationale Identität 1890–1933«. El-Tayeb co-founded the Black European Studies (BEST) project and co-wrote the film »Alles wird gut«.
