Schirin Amir-Moazami

Schirin Amir-Moazami earned her doctorate in the Department of Social and Political Sciences at the European University Institute in Florence. Her academic career includes a professorship in Islam in Europe at the Institute of Islamic Studies at Freie Universität Berlin and work as a principal investigator at the Berlin Graduate School “Muslim Cultures and Societies.” Her research has focused on religious politics, secularism, Islamic movements in Europe, political theory, gender issues, and the politics of knowledge production.
