Alexander G. Weheliye

Alexander G. Weheliye, born in 1968 in Nordhausen, Germany, was an associate professor of African American Studies at Northwestern University in Chicago. His fields of research included Afro-diasporic literature and culture, critical theory, and popular culture. In 2005, he published the monograph »Phonographies: Grooves in Sonic Afro-Modernity« with Duke University Press.
