Eleonore Wiedenroth-Coulibaly

Eleonore Wiedenroth-Coulibaly is a translator, educator and political activist. In 1985, she co-founded the Initiative Schwarze Menschen in Deutschland (ISD), of which she was a long-serving board member. As a speaker and co-author, she has addressed antiracism as well as the history, literature and society of Black people in Germany. She contributed to publications including »Farbe Bekennen« (1986), »Talking Home: Heimat aus unserer eigenen Feder« (1999) and »TheBlackBook« (2004). She was also co-editor of »Spiegelblicke. Perspektiven Schwarzer Bewegung in Deutschland« (2015) and co-translator of »May Ayim. Radikale Dichterin, sanfte Rebellin« (2021). In 2022, she received the Tony Sender Prize from the City of Frankfurt am Main.
