Marc Hofmann

Marc Hofmann (born 1972) is a secondary-school teacher of German and English, an author, cabaret performer and songwriter. His first novel, “Alles kann warten,” was published in 2016; before that, he published the satire “Der Klassenfeind” (2015), which also became the title of a cabaret program. From 2021 onward, his crime series featuring investigating secondary-school teacher Gregor Horvath was published, including “Der Mathelehrer und der Tod” and “Horvath und die verschwundenen Schüler.” Hofmann also gives literary readings and released the album “Lieder von der unsicheren Seite” with his band Die Ständige Vertretung in 2015. His first novel was prompted by his frustration with a disappointing holiday read.
