Michaela Kastel

Michaela Kastel was born in Vienna in 1987 and grew up in a small town in Lower Austria. She studied at the University of Vienna and worked in the book trade for many years before devoting herself entirely to writing from 2019 onward. Her novels include “Hinter dem Spiegel” (2015), “Die Sterblichkeit der Seele” (2017), “Nella tana” (2018), and “Worüber wir schweigen” (2019). She received the Viktor Crime Award for “Nella tana” in 2018, and her novels have also been nominated for several awards.
