Iny Lorentz is the pseudonym of the German author couple Iny Klocke and Elmar Wohlrath, who write historical novels. Their first novel was The Castrati (Die Kastratin); their breakthrough came with The Wandering Harlot (Die Wanderhure). That novel and five others were adapted for television, and several of their works were adapted for the stage. Many of the couple’s novels have been translated into other languages. Their awards include the Homer Honorary Award for contributions to historical fiction, the German Audio Book Award Gold for the audiobook of The Wandering Harlot, and the 2017 Wandering Herbal Prize of the city of Königsee for the series about The Wandering Apothecary.
