Alexander Oetker

Born in 1982, Alexander Oetker worked as a France correspondent and political journalist for RTL and n-tv, reporting on French politics and society. He has published crime novels, romances, travel guides and a children’s book. He became known in particular for the crime series featuring Commissaire Luc Verlain; for Kampa Verlag, he wrote Paris crime novels under the pseudonym Alex Lépic. Oetker also worked as a columnist and restaurant critic for the magazine Der Feinschmecker. He received the DELIA literary prize for Mittwochs am Meer and, in 2022, the Saarland Franco-German Friendship Prize.
