Sebastian Fitzek (born in Berlin in 1971) is a German author. He studied law, earned a doctorate in copyright law, and worked as a programme director for several radio stations. His first psychological thriller, The Therapy, was published in 2006 and was followed by further bestsellers. Fitzek’s novels have been translated into numerous languages and adapted for film and television. In 2017, he became the first German author to receive the European Prize for Crime Fiction.
