Sebastian Fitzek

German author Sebastian Fitzek was born in Berlin in 1971. He studied law, earned a doctorate in copyright law, and worked as an editor-in-chief and program director for several radio stations. His first psychological thriller, The Therapy, was published in 2006 and nominated for the Friedrich Glauser Prize. It was followed by numerous bestsellers and was adapted as a six-part series for Prime Video. In 2017, Fitzek became the first German author to receive the European Prize for Crime Fiction. He also founded the Viktor Crime Award and served as patron of the German Federal Association for Premature Infants.
