Christiane Franke

Christiane Franke (born in 1963) is a writer and creative-writing lecturer known primarily for her coastal crime novels. Together with Cornelia Kuhnert, she published a humorous East Frisian crime series featuring village policeman Rudi, teacher Rosa and postman Henner. She also wrote the Wilhelmshaven-set crime series about detectives Oda Wagner and Christine Cordes. Her novel *Endlich wieder Meer* was published in 2021; Franke also recorded its audiobook herself. She was nominated for the German Short Crime Fiction Prize in 2003 and received the “Tatort Töwerland” writing fellowship from the island of Juist in 2011.
