Iain Galbraith (born 1956 in Glasgow) is a Scottish poet, essayist, editor and literary translator. He studied Modern Languages and Comparative Literature at Cambridge, Freiburg and Mainz, and translated both English-language literature into German and German-language literature into English. His publications include the anthology “Beredter Norden” (2011) and the poetry collection “The True Height of the Ear” (2018). His translation work has received, among other honors, the Stephen Spender Prize (2014), the Popescu European Poetry Translation Prize (2015), the Schlegel-Tieck Prize (2016) and the John Dryden Prize for Literary Translation.
