Marion Poschmann (born in Essen in 1969) is a German author. She writes novels and poetry and made her debut in 2002 with the novel »Baden bei Gewitter«. Her notable works include »Die Kieferninseln« (The Pine Islands), »Mondbetrachtung in mondloser Nacht«, »Nimbus« and »Geliehene Landschaften«. Her work has received, among other honors, the Peter Huchel Prize, the Wilhelm Raabe Literature Prize, the Bremen Literature Prize in 2021 and the Joseph Breitbach Prize in 2023. »Die Kieferninseln« was shortlisted for the German Book Prize in 2017.
