Ranjit Hoskote (born 1969 in Mumbai, then commonly known as Bombay) is an Indian poet, curator, and art and cultural critic. He served as secretary of the Indian PEN club and curated, among other events, the Gwangju Biennale and the Indian pavilion at the Venice Biennale. Hoskote has published four poetry collections and several monographs on Indian painters. His works published in German include Die Ankunft der Vögel (2006) and, with Ilija Trojanow, Kampfabsage (2007).
