Tilman Birr

Tilman Birr (born 1980) is a writer, musician and cabaret performer. He studied history and English and subsequently worked as a city guide, copywriter and historian. His stage career began with literary reading events and poetry slams; in 2002, he founded the “Lesebühne Ihres Vertrauens” in Frankfurt am Main. From 2008 onward, he performed as a cabaret artist and musician in the German-speaking world. His authorial debut, the humorous episodic novel “On se left you see se Siegessäule – Erlebnisse eines Stadtbilderklärers,” was published by Goldmann. Further books, music albums and solo programs followed. Birr received several awards for his stage programs, including the 2013 sponsorship award of the German Cabaret Prize.
