Stephanie Catani, born in 1975, is a literary scholar and professor. Her academic positions included research work in modern German literary studies at the University of Bamberg and the direction of the Chair of Modern German Literary Studies and Media Studies at Saarland University. Her research addressed, among other topics, modern and contemporary literature, gender, diversity, transculturality, and the relationship between literature and other media. Her publications include Das fiktive Geschlecht (2005) and co-edited volumes on Ulrike Draesner, John von Düffel, and the concept of hybridity.
