Claudia Stockinger

Claudia Stockinger (born 1970) studied German philology, history and philosophy at the University of Regensburg and received her doctorate from the University of Karlsruhe in 1999. From 2002 to 2017, she was Professor of German Philology and Modern German Literature at the University of Göttingen; in 2017, she moved to Humboldt University of Berlin. Her research interests include the history of German literature, media and popular culture from the seventeenth to the twenty-first century, as well as literature and religion, intermediality and canon formation. Her publications include „Das dramatische Werk Fouqués“ (2000), „Das 19. Jahrhundert. Zeitalter des Realismus“ (2010) and the critical edition of Karl Philipp Moritz’s „Denkwürdigkeiten“ (2013).
