Kai Hensel (born 1965) first worked as an advertising copywriter, later becoming a comedy writer and screenwriter for television and film. As a playwright, he became known in particular for the works “Klamms Krieg” and “Welche Droge passt zu mir?”, which were staged at numerous German theaters and translated into many languages. His work received, among other honors, the German Short Crime Fiction Prize, the German Youth Theater Prize, and the Schiller Förderpreis. His novel “Sonnentau” was nominated for the Glauser Prize.
