Oliver Bottini, born in 1965, is an author of crime novels. His works include the novels The Cold Dream (Der kalte Traum) and A Few Days of Light (Ein paar Tage Licht), as well as the crime series featuring Freiburg detective Louise Bonì. A Few Days of Light was adapted for television by ARTE/ZDF under the title Algiers Confidential. Bottini has received numerous awards, including the Radio Bremen Crime Prize, the Berlin Krimifuchs, the Stuttgart Crime Prize and the German Crime Prize on several occasions.
