Thomas Loibl (born 1969 in Brüggen, Germany) trained at the Westfälische Schauspielschule Bochum. He subsequently worked on stages in Düsseldorf, Stuttgart, Cologne, Munich and Zurich; from 1994 onward, his theater work included appearances at Schauspiel Köln, Schauspielhaus Zürich and Residenztheater München. He also acted in numerous film and television productions, including »Sommer in Orange«, »Sommerhäuser«, »Die Vermessung der Welt« and the Oscar-nominated film »Toni Erdmann«. In addition, he recorded numerous audiobooks, including works by Orhan Pamuk, James Joyce and Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa.
