Ursel Allenstein

Ursel Allenstein (born 1978) studied Scandinavian Studies and German Studies in Frankfurt and Copenhagen. She worked as a translator from Danish, Swedish, and Norwegian, translating works by authors including Tove Ditlevsen, Sara Stridsberg, Johan Harstad, and Christina Hesselholdt. Her translations received several awards, including the Jane Scatcherd Prize of the Ledig-Rowohlt Foundation.
