Milena Moser, born in Zurich in 1963, is a Swiss author. After completing an apprenticeship as a bookseller, she worked for Swiss radio and newspapers before turning to writing. In 1990, she published the short-story collection *Gebrochene Herzen oder Mein erster bis elfter Mord*; her breakthrough came with her first novel, *Die Putzfraueninsel*. The book was adapted into a film, which received awards. Her other notable works include *Schlampenyoga*, *Das Glück sieht immer anders aus*, *Hinter diesen blauen Bergen*, *Land der Söhne* and *Der Traum vom Fliegen*. In addition to novels and nonfiction, Moser has published essays, articles, radio plays and translations.
