Maja Lunde

Maja Lunde, born in Oslo in 1975, is a Norwegian author and screenwriter. She began her career writing books for children and young adults before publishing her first novel for adults, »The History of Bees«. The novel became an international bestseller, remained at number one on the German SPIEGEL bestseller list for several months, and was Germany’s bestselling novel of 2017. Her literary Climate Quartet also includes »The History of Water«, »The End of the Ocean«, and »The Dream of a Tree«, which completed the series in 2023. Together with illustrator Lisa Aisato, she also created the illustrated all-ages books »The Snow Sister«, »The Sun Guardian«, and »The Wind Makers«.
