Peter Bubmann

Peter Bubmann (born 1962) is a Protestant theologian. He studied Protestant theology in Munich and Heidelberg and holds a doctorate in theology. After working as a vicar, school chaplain and research assistant, he taught religious education, ethics and music education at the Protestant University of Applied Sciences in Nuremberg from 1999 to 2002. In 2002, he became Professor of Practical Theology at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. His research has focused on the relationship between music and religion, congregational education and Christian approaches to the art of living. Bubmann also completed church-music training, passing the C examination, and composed numerous songs and other works of church music.
