Jens Herzer

Jens Herzer, Dr. theol., was born in 1963. He studied theology at the Sprachenkonvikt in Berlin, received his doctorate in 1993, and completed his habilitation at Humboldt University of Berlin in 1997. In 1999, he became Professor of New Testament at Leipzig University’s Faculty of Theology. His research has focused on Paul and Pauline epistles, the theology and hermeneutics of the New Testament, and the history and literature of early Judaism.
