Christian Herrmann

Dr. theol. Christian Herrmann, born in 1966, studied Protestant theology in Heidelberg and Erlangen and received his doctorate in 1996. From 1998 to 2011, he was a subject specialist at the University Library of Tübingen. He subsequently joined the Württemberg State Library in Stuttgart, where he headed the special collections, including the collection of old and valuable books and Bibles, and worked as a subject specialist for theology, philosophy, and book studies. He has published extensively on the history of books as well as systematic theology and the history of theology. In 2020, he was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for his work.
