Wolf Krotke

Wolf Krötke, born in 1938, studied theology in Leipzig, Naumburg and Berlin from 1957 to 1965 and received his doctorate in 1967. He subsequently worked as a vicar and parish pastor, becoming a student pastor in Halle (Saale) in 1970. From 1973 to 1991, he taught at the church’s theological training institute at the Sprachenkonvikt in Berlin. In 1991, Krötke became Professor of Systematic Theology at Humboldt University of Berlin, a position he held until his retirement in 2004. In 1976, he received an honorary doctorate from the University of Tübingen.
