Jutta Timm

Jutta Timm was born in Cuxhaven in 1945 and grew up in Karlsruhe. After studying graphic design, she worked for several years as an advertising artist. From 1983 onward, she worked as a freelance illustrator, primarily creating illustrations for children’s books published by German and international publishers. More than 80 books illustrated by her appeared in various countries and languages. She also contributed to the television programme “Siebenstein” and the radio series “Ohrenbär.” Her work received the UNICEF Prize and the American children’s book award North-South-Books.
