Sabine Ludwig

Sabine Ludwig (born 1954 in Berlin) studied German, Romance languages and philosophy. She worked as an assistant director, press officer and radio editor before becoming a writer and translator. From 1987 onward, she wrote books for children and young adults and translated works from English and French. Her books received several awards and were translated into a number of languages. Her translations included works by Kate DiCamillo and Eva Ibbotson; two of them were nominated for the German Youth Literature Prize. In 2010, she was named “Reading Artist of the Year.”
