Katharina Wenty (born 1995 in Korneuburg) is an Austrian slam poet and filmmaker. In 2018, she won the Poetry Slam Championship title for Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland. As a filmmaker, she participated in several short-film festivals and received, among other honors, the media literacy award and the zeitimpuls Short Film Award. In 2020, she founded Poetry slam’md, an association for performance art, literature and youth culture.
