Winfried Speitkamp

Winfried Speitkamp, born in 1958, is a German historian. From 2010 to 2017, he was Professor of Modern and Contemporary History at the University of Kassel. He subsequently served as president of Bauhaus-Universität Weimar until 2022, where he was also Professor of Cultural History of the Modern Era. His publications include *Deutsche Kolonialgeschichte* (*German Colonial History*), an expanded new edition of which was published by Reclam.
