Milo Rau (born 1977 in Bern) is an author and theatre and film director. He studied sociology and language and literary studies in Paris, Zurich and Berlin, including under Pierre Bourdieu and Tzvetan Todorov. Since 2002, he has published more than 50 plays, films, books and actions. His notable works include “Hate Radio,” “The Moscow Trials,” “The Congo Tribunal,” “Five Easy Pieces” and “The Europe Trilogy.” Rau has received, among other distinctions, the Swiss Film Prize, the European Theatre Prize, the 3sat Prize, the Hörspielpreis der Kriegsblinden and the Saarbrücken Poetics Lectureship for Drama.
