Kathrin Passig (born 1970 in Deggendorf, Germany) is a journalist, writer, and nonfiction author. In 2002, she co-founded the Zentrale Intelligenz Agentur in Berlin and served as its managing director until 2009. She was also closely involved in the blog “Riesenmaschine,” which received a Grimme Online Award in 2006. Her literary debut, “Sie befinden sich hier,” won the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize in 2006. Her nonfiction books include “Das Lexikon des Unwissens” (with Aleks Scholz), “Dinge geregelt kriegen – ohne einen Funken Selbstdisziplin,” and “Internet – Segen oder Fluch” (the latter two with Sascha Lobo). In 2016, she received the Johann-Heinrich-Merck Prize for Literary Criticism and Essay.
