Simone Jung

Simone Jung holds a doctorate in sociology. She worked at the Faculty of Cultural Studies at Leuphana University Lüneburg and was involved in the projects “Debattenkulturen – Rhetorik – Performanz” and “Öffentlichkeiten zwischen Fakt und Fiktion.” Before pursuing her academic work, she worked as a journalist, including for the newspapers taz and Missy Magazine. Her academic fields include media and cultural sociology, political theory, cultures of critique and the public sphere, and the study of pop and popular culture.
