Marlies Bardeli

Marlies Bardeli, born in Celle in 1951, grew up on a farm in northern Germany near Uelzen. She studied music and German at the University of Hanover and theatre education in Hamburg. Bardeli wrote screenplays and plays and composed songs before focusing primarily on children’s books. Her books have been translated into several languages. Her children’s book “Timur und die Erfindungen aus lauter Liebe” was nominated for the German Youth Literature Prize.
