Juan Moreno, born in 1972 in Huércal-Overa, Spain, is a journalist and author. He initially worked for WDR and later for the Süddeutsche Zeitung; he subsequently worked internationally for Der Spiegel. Moreno attended the German School of Journalism in Munich and has published several books, including Teufelsköche (2011), Uli Hoeneß (2014), and Tausend Zeilen Lüge (2019), about the Relotius case. He was named “Journalist of the Year” in 2019. In 2020, he launched the international-affairs podcast Acht Milliarden for Der Spiegel.
