Brigitte Vollenberg

Brigitte Vollenberg, born in Dorsten in 1953, studied business administration and worked with her husband for more than three decades in an architecture firm in Gladbeck. She has written professionally since 2009. Her work focuses on humorous travel and everyday stories as well as crime fiction; more than 140 of her short stories have appeared in anthologies and literary magazines. Her books include *WOLKENLOS chaotisch*, *Gladbeck, vor und hinter den Kulissen*, *Piranhas im Schlossgraben* and the children’s crime novel *Die Soko Ki – Ferien, Freunde, Einbrecher*. In 2013, she received the audience prize of the Vestische Literatureule. Her texts were recognized at the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen in three consecutive years from 2014 to 2016. In 2016, she won the short crime fiction prize of Ortsmarketing Raesfeld. Vollenberg was a member of the Mörderische Schwestern and the Bundesverband junger Autoren.
