Richard Klein

Richard Klein studied music and completed a concert examination in organ before studying philosophy, musicology and modern literature. He earned a doctorate with a dissertation on Theodor W. Adorno’s criticism of Wagner and served as editor of the journal Musik & Ästhetik. His publications include works on Adorno, Heidegger, Richard Wagner and Bob Dylan. Together with Claus-Steffen Mahnkopf, he edited the volume Thinking with the Ears: Adorno’s Philosophy of Music, published by Suhrkamp.
